Our politics are turning our culture ugly

I find, maybe since Si Chuan earthquake, some Chinese have a new habit: when some people die, shout “Go, **, go” to their families and friends. If I don’t remember wrong, a huge group of Chinese people gathered in a square, shouted “Go, Si Chuan, Go”, “I support you” after Si Chuan had that earthquake. Since then, every time disaster happens, some Chinese people shout “Go, **, go” to the victims, moreover, those disasters usually kill a lot of people. I couldn’t get used to it, but I thought it was just a political thing, or propaganda.

Just now, I have a look at a blog. The blogger’s girlfriend died and he wrote a poem to remember her. The blog is moving, but when I looked through the comments below. I feel like when eating peanuts, the last one is gone bad. A lot of “Go, blogger, go”, “I support you”. Just imagine that you were that blogger, when you heard that noise, I guess you must want to kick them away.

I’m surprised that this habit becomes so popular in China nowadays. Our politics have been twisting our people’s natural feeling as a human being, and sometimes turning our culture ugly.
