Micro-blogs are changing China

In China, more and more people choose to build a micro-blog account to get support from the netizens when they suffer unjustice.

There is a joke online:

An officer told a girl, “obey me. Just so you know, I’m the one who has a background”. The girl smiled and said, “Just so you know, I have a micro-blog account”.

Recently, about the case that 3 members of a family took self-immolation because of forced relocation, a few officers involved are under investigation. After the tragedy happened, two daughters of the family were confined in a school by the officers. Then, the netizens started to forward the microblogs about their situation on Sept. 18 (local time). More and more people noticed it …… now, the two daughters get freedom and the officers are under investigation.

Below is the photo forwarded at that time on an micro-blogging site. The post said quite briefly, “let her out” (50000 words are omitted). A lot posts followed: release her!!!!!!!… …

Real and interactive gangsters movies are played everyday in China, far more attractive than Hollywood movies

By “real” here, it means it’s real, the roles are real, death is real … … , but the story is like movies. By “interactive”, it means you can take part in them, you can affect its result, you can be in real danger, for example, get arrested or beat to death … …, and you can be a hero.

I think that the mainland of China don’t need to make movies. Just go to Twitter, or some Chinese micro-blogging sites, the posts shows the things happening more attractive than a movie. Most of them make you nervous, furious.

The recently news: 3 persons burnt themselves when near a hundred of people threatened to demolish their building. After the tragedy, the two daughters wanted to go to Beijing to request justice. Then a microblogger made a live report:

Around 40 people block them in the airport and a secretary of CPC in County Committee.

later, another post was posted:

Those two daughters hide in a woman’s washing room and get access to China with a mobile phone.

This post was forwarded many times by netizens with a photo. That officer is circled and there is a note explaining who he is. I couldn’t find that one now. The left pictures is another one and the circled one is that officer, as the post stressed, “He was at the site.”

Soon, another post was forwarded by many netizens. It includes a phone number of a local police office and the post encouraged people to call that number.

… …

The newest update post said that the two daughters were taken away by those people led by that officer.

I have rarely watched Chinese movies for many years because the real versions are more attractive. I even dream about them in my dreams sometimes and get scared. Just imagine, live in a society that so many officers are the gangsters or have a close connection with the gangsters, and you are fighting with them.

It’s reported that on Sept. 10, 2010, 3 persons of a family took self-immolation when a group of near a hundred of persons sent or supported by the local government went to “persuade” this family about relocation.

The flame below was the burning person who jumped from the top of the building.

When I first saw this news, I didn’t intend to post it on my blog, because it’s cruel, but soon I saw a video: the head of a school put a knife under his neck and a group of student holding rion bars was confronting a group of persons sent or supported by the local government, because of relocation.

There are too many similar tragedies in the mainland of China, and Chinese people don’t have weapons to protect their home. At  some time, some place, for some event, when Chinese people buy a kitchen knife, they need to report their ID, address, etc..

Who and how can stop this stradegy? That’s too much.
