“people who go through such tragedies need support…not slogans”

M: I have a question now.
M: 😛
U: ok…your question
M: Now, my question:
M: if someone wants to show his/her support to Japan, and he/she says: cheer up, Japanese, or go, Japanese, go, do you feel it’s normal?
M: or chanting
U: its better to take action…like donating to the Red Cross or some organization like that
U: posting some message on a blog or twitter does nothing
M: I think of something that happened in China. When Sichuan, China had that huge earthquake, a group of Chinese gathered together in a public square chanting: go, Sichuan, go. I feel disgusting about it.
M: Later on, I saw a blog. The blogger’s girlfriend died and the blogger was very sad. He wrote a blog to remember his girlfriend. The comments had a lot of “Go, blogger, go” from the viewers.
M: If I was that blogger, I preferred to kick those viewers out of my blog.
U: thats nice…and it shows support from other bloggers around the world
M: Why does it mean by “Go, go”, die more?
U: but…taking some sort of action actually achieves something
M: they can say they offer condolence or something like that.
M: It’s not good to chant “Go, go” in a disaster, especially a lot of loss of lives.
U: yes…i agree
M: If someone’s family dies, you go to their house chanting “Go, someone, go”, most likey, you are kicked out of that area.
M: Can you imagine that when someone’s family dies, a group of people holding banners, slogans, chant “Go, someone, go”, to him or her?
M: It’s a disgusting scene. but it often happens in the mainland of China now.
U: its a bit too much
U: people who go through such tragedies need support…not slogans
M: We didn’t have such culture or habits before. Now, something turns urgly.
M: It should be a new thing that has emerged after that Sichuan earthquake.
U: i can’t explain why that is
M: I know. The Chinese gov’t like those people to do so. then, it has entered the ordinary life.
M: At Chairman Mao’s time, when he spoke something, some Chinese people would organize the ordinary Chinese people to chant his speech.
M: If he said something at the night, the people would be awaken up to go to streets to chant it.
U: yeah…thats exactly where this sort of behavior originates from
M: That’s a tradition.
U: communism is for simple people with simple minds
M: When I saw some postings from some Chinese people, I sort of felt they deserve this China
M: I argued with them, because I wanted to show them more information.
M: In fact, I don’t like to speak with such stupid people.
U: and what was the reaction?
M: I think at last, I always won
M: 😛
M: I just wanted to show more information, not for the people who argued with me, but also the viewers.
M: A lot of Chinese people are wise too.
M: even wiser than me
M: more Chinese people are braver than me.
M: That’s why I keep arguing, instead of leaving away and giving up
U: thats the spirit….Go * Go
M: That’s love to my homeland
M: 😉
M: tks anyway.
U: which will soon be Canada
