Sell on eBay (23): “but many copper coins are worth much more than some gold coins just because they are rare and hard to find”

M: oh, let’s talk about silver coins.
U: yes…coins are like viagra to me
M: I think I should wait for a while to sell them ($20 silver coins).
M: A lot of people are selling them on eBay.ca now
U: just keep up on how the prices are going and sell when you think you can maximize the profit
M: 😛
U: maybe you should research other coins besides just canadian coins
U: sort of balance your options
M: now, some people sell them just for a bit more than $30. if remove the commission fees, the benefits are little.
M: the benefit is just $5 or so
U: coin sets are most profitable
U: for example…the Kennedy Half-Dollar set
U: easy to build
U: and worth much more as a set than individual coins
M: I registered on usmint.com. The customs duties, tax, charges from Canada Post should cost a lot.
M: I wonder if a letter mail will be charged custom duties from abroad.
U: i don’t know
M: I sent a letter mail to USA. The clerk in the Post Office didn’t care about what I put in the envelope.
U: when i order something from overseas..there is no extra cost
U: just the shipping cost is a little higher of course
M: I bought a book from USA, I paid in the Post Office the costom duties and the charge from the Post Office. But I bought another one, no such fees.
M: I also wonder if I send those coins by letter mail, what if they lose in the way?
U: http://cgi.ebay.com/Dansco-7166-Kennedy-Half-Dollar-Album-P-D-1964-2017-/120692668711?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item1c19d7f927#ht_1837wt_1012
U: if for example you get this kennedy half dollar album
U: and buy the coins individually and fill it
U: you will have a very good investment by selling the set
M: I see. just like you have all 5 dinosaur coins of that series, you can sell in a high price. right?
U: thats why you must get insurance for the amount of what you are shipping…this will cover your loss
U: sets are better in most cases
U: collectors buy coins to build sets
U: and they will pay a higher price for a complete coin set
M: oh. The Canada Post doesn’t have many choice. If I send a regular parcel to USA, no tracking number, no insurance, just have nothing.
U: try using UPS or FED EX
M: With Insurance, the post fee is too high.
M: oh, I see.
M: I think when all the coins arrive, I will sell them together. So, the value for one package can be $200 or so. then I can use a safe shipping way.
M: with a bit higher price shipping method.
U: good thinking
M: 😛
M: The silver hits the 31 year highest. Is it going down?
U: it will go up and down
M: oh , i c. 🙂
U: what goes up will always come down
U: like a balloon
M: oh, the main trend is going up, right?
M: with some waves
U: thats when its time to sell
U: when it goes down..its time to buy
M: oh, the coins don’t refect its wave so obviously.
U: coins and precious metals usually don’t go hand and hand
U: coins are valued by how common or how rare they are
M: oh, also in its materials, right?
M: I bought those coins since they are silver.
U: of course the metal of which they are does have some effect on the value
M: oh, i c.
M: it’s past midnight, by the way.
U: but many copper coins are worth much more than some gold coins just because they are rare and hard to find
M: oh, i c.
M: Mint.ca are selling British coins now.
U: http://values.hobbizine.com/indian-cents.html
U: here are some examples of an american copper one cent piece
U: you can see…some are very valuable
M: oh
M: that needs a lot of knowledge.
U: a face value of 1% of $1 when minted…and now….they are very valuable
U: yes…it takes some knowledge to make the right decisions on coin buying for investments
U: but it is lots of fun
M: that’s true. 😛
M: Will you work tomorrow?
U: yes…of course
U: its late
M: yeah.
U: this coin talk had me looking around
U: very interesting for me
M: tks for your information. 😛
U: ok
U: good night
M: good night
U: but look into other shipping options
M: oh
U: like United Parcel Service or Federal Express
U: maybe the cost could be lower
M: oh, I had a look at UPS, I will have a closer look.
U: but i don’t know much about how or why shipping costs are so high in canada
U: ok
U: see you tomorrow
U: good night
M: I have told you about that price
M: see you tomorrow
M: good night
M: ((hug))
U: ((hug))
